Gitura Sub Location is located in Kagundu-Ini Location, Kagundu-Ini division, Kandara sub county, in Muranga County, and is neighboring Gaichanjiru, Kagumo-Ini, Githunguri, Kagundu-Ini, Kabati, Kariti, Kagiri, Maria-Ini, Ngurwe-Ini sub locations. It has a total popupation of 9,734, of which 4,686 (48%) are male and 5,048 (52%) are female. The sub location has 3,265 households which averages 3.0 persons per household. Its land area is 6.90 square km and a population density of 1,411 persons per square kilometer.
